01 Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using our mobile application (the “App”) or related services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Theodore Pasquier (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the developer and provider of the Service. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the App or Service. These Terms apply to all users of the App in the United States (and any other supported regions). We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, and we will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Description of the Service

Our App is a receipt and invoice management tool that allows you to scan, parse, and track receipts or documents using advanced processing technology. We provide both free usage (for new users) and subscription-based premium features. The Service is intended for individual and small business use to help organize financial documents. It is not a professional accounting service, and you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any data or outputs from the App.

Free Usage and Trials

Upon installing the App, new users are given a one-time free usage allowance of 10 free scans/queries. This free tier does not require creating an account or signing in. It allows you to try the core features of the App without any payment. Once you have used your 10 free queries, further use of the scanning and AI parsing features will require an active subscription (as described below). We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time. Unused free queries may not be converted into paid credits or carried over after you subscribe.

Subscriptions and Billing

We offer two subscription plans to access the full capabilities of the App’s scanning and document-processing features. All subscriptions are auto-renewing and billed through your Apple App Store account (Apple ID). By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Apple to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Current subscription options:

  • Standard Plan: Provides up to 200 scans per week. This weekly quota resets every week. The Standard Plan costs USD $3.99 per week (billed weekly).
  • Unlimited Plan: Provides unlimited scans and an unthrottled experience for power users. The Unlimited Plan costs USD $14.99 per week (billed weekly).

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew every week on the same day of the week as the original purchase date. Your Apple App Store account will be charged the weekly subscription price (as listed above) 24 hours prior to the start of the next subscription period. If the pricing or terms of a subscription change, we will notify you in advance and, if required, obtain your consent before the new terms apply.

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation: You can cancel a subscription at any time. To cancel, turn off auto-renewal through your Apple ID Account Settings on your device. For example, you can go to Settings -> [Your Name] -> Subscriptions and select the App to manage or cancel the subscription. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the current subscription period ends. No further charges will occur once you cancel. Please note that deleting the App does not automatically cancel subscriptions – you must cancel through Apple’s subscription management as described.

Refunds: All subscription fees and in-app purchase charges are non-refundable by us except where required by law. If you believe you deserve a refund due to extenuating circumstances or an error, you will need to request a refund through Apple App Store support, as payments are processed by Apple. Apple’s refund policy will apply in such cases. We do not guarantee that refunds will be granted.

User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

By using the Service, you agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You agree that you will not:

  • Use the App to engage in any illegal or unauthorized activities, or for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network, or breach any security or authentication measures.
  • Share, resell, or exploit the Service or your subscription to provide services to any third party, unless expressly permitted by us.
  • Upload or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights. You are solely responsible for any data or documents you scan and must have the rights or permissions needed to use that content with our Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service (including canceling your subscription) if we determine that you have violated these Terms or are otherwise misusing the App. We also reserve the right to investigate any misuse and cooperate with law enforcement if necessary.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

All software, code, algorithms, design, and content provided in the App or Service (excluding the documents and data you provide) are the intellectual property of Theodore Pasquier or its licensors. The Service is licensed, not sold, to you. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the App or any part of our Service. All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed in the App are the property of their respective owners. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights to our intellectual property.

The content you input into the App (such as receipt images or invoice data) remains yours. We claim no ownership over your original documents. However, by using the Service and uploading content, you grant us a license to process and use that content for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This license is limited to operating and improving the functionality of the App (for example, parsing the text of a receipt to extract information). We do not claim any rights to use your content outside of providing the Service to you, and we do not sell or publish your personal content.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding the Service. This includes but is not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or that it will meet all of your expectations or requirements. Specifically, we do not guarantee that: (a) the scanning and data extraction will be 100% accurate or reliable for every document; (b) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free from bugs or viruses; or (c) any errors in the Service will be corrected.

You acknowledge that using an AI-based document parsing service can occasionally produce incorrect or unpredictable results. You should not rely solely on the App for critical record-keeping without verifying the results. Use of the App is at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage to your device or loss of data that may result from your use of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, in no event shall Theodore Pasquier or any of our affiliates, officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. This includes, without limitation, any damages for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of privacy.

In all cases, our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount (if any) that you paid to us for the use of the Service in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

Governance

Termination: You may terminate this agreement at any time by discontinuing use of the App and cancelling any subscriptions. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service if you violate these Terms.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and the federal laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.

02 Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Theodore Pasquier collects, uses, and protects any information about you when you use the App. We take privacy seriously and aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Data: In general, we do not collect personal identifying information (like name, email, phone) simply through your use of the App. We do not require you to create an account. The only personal information we might receive is anything you voluntarily send us (for example, via support email).
  • User Content (Scanned Documents): All scanned document content is stored locally on your device and/or in your private iCloud storage. We do not have automatic access to this content.
  • Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs. We receive aggregated, anonymous usage stats from Apple (e.g., number of installs, crashes) via App Store Connect.
  • Payment Info: Managed entirely by Apple. We see subscription entitlements but not your credit card details.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and improve the Service (processing your documents to extract data).
  • Manage subscriptions (verifying your entitlements via Apple).
  • Provide customer support (if you contact us).
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do NOT sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not use it for marketing or advertising.

3. Data Storage and Security

On-Device & iCloud: Your data primarily resides on your device and your personal iCloud account, secured by Apple.

AI Processing: To parse documents, the App uses a cloud-based AI service. Document data is sent securely, analyzed, and returned. It is not permanently stored by us or the provider for their own use.

Security Measures: We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit. We limit access to our systems to authorized personnel only.

4. Sharing of Information

We only share data with:

  • Service Providers: Strictly to help us operate (e.g., AI processing, cloud security).
  • Apple: Inherent to iOS ecosystem (iCloud storage, payments).
  • Legal: If required by law or valid government request.

5. Your Choices

  • Access & Delete: You can delete any scan from within the App. You can delete all data by uninstalling the App and clearing its iCloud data.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt out of Apple’s aggregated analytics in your iOS Privacy settings.
  • Contact: You can contact us to request deletion of any support correspondence.
